PRACTICAL 2: TOPOGRAPHIC PROFILES AND GEOLOGICAL PROFILES.

Please Note: For all practical reports 25% of the total mark is allocated to the neatness of the work presentation as well as the clarity of the explanation. As a rule of thumb, a clear practical report should include enough information so any reader can understand the aim of the exercise and the path to the solution (do not rub out your working). Reports with low standard of presentation will not be assessed. Late reports must clearly indicate on their front page the date when they were handed in.

As shown on the example below, patterns should follow the bedding planes in a way that suggests folding, ie patterns parallel to bedding should remain parallel to it, patterns perpendicular to bedding should remain perpendicular to it.
