The Warrawoona group away from granitic domes.
We first go in a place called "North Pole" a flat and small granitic bodies in the middle of a large greenstone outcrop (shown by two ticks). In this area the greenstone cover (the 3,5 Ga Warrawoona greenstone) shows little deformation and preserves volcanic structures such as pillow-lavas. These pillows suggest that the surface of the basement was below sea-level at the time where the greenstones where emplaced. We are here far away from the influence of the granitic domes.
