The Warrawoona group close granitic domes. |

We go now in the Warrawoona syncline near Marble Bar. This syncline is limited by three granitic domes: Mt Edgar (NNE), Coruna Down (SSW), and Mt Shaw (SW). There the pillow-lavas have been elongated into vertical cigar-shaped rods. The central part of the syncline is charasterised by rocks that have a very prominent linear structure (bottom left picture): rocks fall appart as rods not slates as shown on the bottom right picture. |
