Fault related microstructures: The photograph presents a fault plane carying slickenlines with a small pitch angle. It shows also steps oriented at high angle to the striae. All steps are facing in the same direction (to the rigth). These steps result from small fractures that develop at high angle the direction of slip. The kinematic of the fault (sense of movement) can be deduced from the orientation of these steps.
