PRACTICAL 1: TOPOGRAPHIC CONTOURS, STRUCTURAL CONTOURS AND GEOLOGICAL MAPS.
		Geological maps contain information describing both the topography and the geology underneath. They represent a 2D view of the intersection between the surface topography and the rock units below. A geological map carries enough information to understand and analyse geological structures in 3D and therefore the distribution of rock units at depth.
