Consequences for fluid flow and mineralisation.
The sketches on the right illustrates show on map and section views how fluids flow around the granitic domes.
Fluid flows along deformed corridors that act as permeable channels. These corridors wrap around granitic domes and merge act foliation triple junctions.
The fluids have two possible origins: they may be released by the granitic domes as they crystallise, or they may be expelled from the greenstones as mafic rocks are transformed into metamorphic rocks.
